Responsibility: -Deliver the most complex and valuable components of an application on time and to specification as a key member of a product or delivery team. -He or she is expected to do so by making balanced design decisions (e.g., design trade-offs, prioritization, etc.) as a lead HCI contributor on his or her team. These decisions must reflect an expertise in applying appropriate technical/theoretical knowledge within the context of the customer’s business requirements. -Responsible for demonstrating an understanding of and the ability to articulate the business value delivered by his/her products. -Responsible for accurately scheduling, tracking and providing complete and accurate sizing and scoping estimates for the purposes of release planning. -Responsible for supporting the delivery team in developing product screens and wireframe functionality for customers (e.g., answers questions, explains functionality, extends GUI, provides design/usability reviews, etc.) and for working with the Technical Manager to make the best usability/interaction design decisions. -Responsible for recognizing inconsistencies (e.g., scope, resources, feasibility, usability, customer value, etc.) in product requirements and for making suggestions as to the resolution of such issues. -Expected to be actively involved in the recruiting process by interviewing and qualifying candidates.
Desired Attributes: -Education: Formal training/education in Human-Computer Interaction Design, Communication/Visual design, Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering or Computer Engineering degree from a top-notch university, college. -4+ years of experience, working hands-on with industry standard and design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Visio, MS Office productivity tools, etc. (ideally in developing business applications). Must have demonstrated proficiency in more than one of these technologies and demonstrated expertise in at least one technology. -Should have contributed valuable components to organizational intellectual capital (e.g., technology insights and solutions, patent applications, and templates for methodologies) at his or her current company. -Strong written and verbal communication skills allowing the person to effectively work with team members based both in India and the US.
